About Your Mission Field

The country of Columbia has 40 million people.  Bogotá, the capital of the country, has 10 million people.  The greatest problems that this country faces are terrorism and drug trafficking.  This city is a very poor city.  As a result, many terrorists groups have been formed.  Because of the danger in the rural zones, many of the people are attempting to migrate to the city for protection.  In Bogotá, the embassy prohibits the American missionaries to work outside of the parameters of the city.  They are trying to protect the Americans from the dangers in the rural sections.  Because if this, it is an advantage for us, as Peruvians, to work in these areas.  They will not stop me, search me, or try to hurt me the way they would Americans.  Also in Bogotá, there are satanic churches.  These churches are very strong in the city.  Every Halloween, they offer sacrifices and these sacrifices are of little children.  There are also many charismatic churches as well.  These charismatic churches are winning the confidence of the people but are teaching many, many false doctrines.

Tell Us How God Has Blessed Your Mission Field

Right now our family has submitted all of our paperwork and visas to gain entrance into the country of Columbia.  Two months ago, I was able to visit Bogotá again.  During this visit, I was able to visit with Pastor Francisco Acho.  This Pastor and his ministry have me 10 benches with which to start the church.  His house is located in the 'Red Zone' of the city...an area that is very dangerous.  there are also a group of 25 Christians that live very far from any church.  They, too, offered me a house to start a church with them.
